Welcome to Anglolang Academy – School of English

Member of English UK

Anglolang is an English language school in the UK which is accredited by the British Council and a member of English UK.

Students who come to Anglolang to study English often decide to return to Anglolang again and again. For example, David from Italy, who first came to Anglolang as a student in the 1990s. He recently spoke about Anglolang to the Scarborough News (a local newspaper) and said, “I have some of the best memories of my life here in Scarborough. I remember with lots of nostalgia the dynamic lessons during my English language course, the cosy atmosphere, my lovely host family and my classmates from different countries. I spent as many as eight Summers as a student in Scarborough and just love the place”.

Feedback consistently states that students who come to Anglolang to study English in England have a great time. They also enjoy our social programme which offers a wide range of activities, such as sports, dancing, theatre visits, discos and excursions to local towns and cities.

I wanted to study English in England at an English UK School so I spent six months at Anglolang and it was such a nice experience! The staff and students are great people. I really improved my English and it helped me to actually be able to work in a bilingual company. Also, the town is beautiful, you can visit either the sea or the mountains. The locals are very nice and they helped all the time. My host family was very special to me and I hope I can go back again sometime.

This #Saturday sees the return of the famous Whitby Krampus Run

#Whitby Krampus Run started in 2013 and the costumed street parade is an interpretation of the Alpine winter tradition with inclusion of local folklore and history to infuse a unique take on the Krampus legend and lore.

Whitby Krampus Run has now become a tradition in its own.

The parade is a fundraiser for Whitby Wildlife Sanctuary and in the evening The Krampus Ball raises funds for St. Catherine's Hospice.
