Actual teaching time, excluding breaks is 26 hours 40 minutes.
During the Summer Programme (from 26 June until 25 August 2023), there is a full-day study visit on Wednesdays. Actual teaching time, excluding breaks, is therefore 21 hours 20 minutes per week.
There are no lessons on public holidays which are 7 April, 10 April, 1 & 29 May and 28 August 2023.

Anglolang’s English Language Training for Vocational Teachers course is for those teachers who are working in vocational education. The training will focus on improving participants’ confidence in English as well as developing their skills for better vocational teaching.

This course uses a wide variety of communicative activities to develop language competence as well as providing practical and creative classroom ideas. Participants will take part in seminars, workshops, lectures, open discussions and a study visit during term time (e.g. secondary school, an FE college or a training and enterprise organisation) or a place of cultural interest (non-term time). The exact content of the course is negotiated before and throughout the course to take into account the specific needs and developing interests of each group.

Course Objectives & Anticipated Outcomes

By the end of the English Language Training for Vocational Teachers course, participants will have:

  • Collected a portfolio of teaching resources
  • Increased their knowledge of British culture
  • Acquired new ideas for motivating their students
  • Shared ideas and experiences
