Hundreds of people lined the street from the railway station, where she arrived on the Royal train, down to the refurbished theatre. Photo Anglolang was one of the first language schools in England to install interactive whiteboards in several classrooms, making lessons more stimulating, more fun and more motivating. The resources are multi-sensory, so they help our students with different learning styles. The whiteboard can be used for displaying websites as well as watching videos or news. Our students find their learning experience at Anglolang interactive, memorable and effective. We now have Interactive Whiteboards in all our main classrooms.

Scarborough is the most enterprising place in the whole of the UK!

Photo At an awards ceremony held at 11 Downing Street, Scarborough was named as the nation’s most enterprising place in the Enterprising Britain competition. Scarborough was the best of the 12 entrants that represented every region in the UK. Enterprising Britain 2008 is a nationwide competition which celebrates and rewards the most enterprising areas in the UK; those places of enterprise excellence that have helped transform the social and economic fortunes of their area and are the best at improving economic prospects and encouraging enterprise in their regions. Peter Jones, BBC TV Dragon (from TV programme ‘Dragon’s Den’)and national Enterprising Britain judge, said: “Scarborough is a town with enterprise in its blood. Scarborough’s story is really compelling and the visible impact of renaissance clear – the creation and growth of a thriving creative and digital industry where one previously did not, and could not have, existed is a huge achievement. Its success deserves to be celebrated.”
